Don't understand why his name isn't brought up more often in the coaching searches. His teams are well prepared. He's been at Utah for about 20 years and is 62 years old, I guess that's what keeps him there for $4M per year.

I like our 60 year old head coach! Geaux BK!

He’s turned down overtures the last decade. I don’t think AD’s waste their time anymore because they know what the answer will be.

Some people are just happy where they are and what they’re doing…Sometimes money doesn’t matter!

Hes Mormon
He's spent 35 of the last 42 years in Utah including the last 27 years coaching at the University of Utah.

The man is like Mr. Utah football. There could be no more perfect coach for them.

Apparently, the Rose Bowl will be his last game before retiring. You could see the emotion in him tonight after the game that might suggest that.

Also, agreed. Very good coach.

Could be, but I think that you might be reading too much into that. Utah has tragically lost two players, Ty Jordan and Aaron Lowe in the past year. I would imagine that all the emotion had a lot to do with that. Fowler even said during the first quarter that Whittingham will be back next season.

Utah is an amazing school
Kyle is all set there. I'm gonna enjoy him ruining Lincoln Rileys fun in the Pac 12

Heard same. Apparently really shaken up by Brian Kelly abandonment of Notre Dame

It was just too much for Kyle

Top 5 coach.

He would kill it at a place that attracts big time talent but respect that he stays put at a place he loves.

He's also started to expand Utah's recruiting reach. It's not unusual now to see Utah scouts even in South Louisiana.

Salt Lake City is a great place to live and go to school. Utah has one of the best economies in the country.

He coaches a style of football that isn't popular anymore. Physical, physical, physical.
