Heard it from a very reliable source at the drive-thru this morning, Kiffin is hoping that Heupel somehow leaves Tennessee, because he wants to go back there. They have everything Auburn has, but they're not paying two buyouts.

I would love for him to go back there. LSU definitely won't be playing them every year unless it's in Atlanta or the playoff. If he goes to Auburn and we have to play them every year, he could be a thorn in our side. He can help end Saban's career from either school.

Tea Leaves are starting to move in the direction that Auburn is moving to a 2nd candidate. All this "secret coach" stuff is a placeholder for whoever is the hire. Auburn shot their shot. Looks like Lane didn't bite. Unless they come back with a super dumb $120 over 10 type stupid deal.
