Does anyone think if LSU tells a New Orleans kid, "We'll hook you up with xxx NIL dollars" that kid is going to say, "Nah, you didn't keep Frank Wilson"?

This. Frank is a great recruiter but people are delusional if they think if Lane turned LSU into a perennial contender again that kids from NOLA wouldn’t want to play there. Some kids are going to go out of state, no matter what you do. Frank, the Great God of Recruting, lost Stewart JUST LAST YEAR. He doesn’t have the edge in NOLA recruiting like he had in the past.
If Lane comes in and establishes a good connection with the rest of Louisiana, he will be just fine and still pull 1-2 kids out of NOLA area every year as long as he wins 11+ games a year

A few questions(related to Frank Wilson), how good were our running backs the last couple of years? Did we have good running back rotations this year? What the heck happened with Nate Sheppard from (Mandeville High) Duke? How did we miss so badly on a kid that has more rushing yards than any other freshman running back in the country? We also have no 2026 high school commitments at running back. I would think we’d sign 1. I want to keep Frank related to recruiting and ties to New Orleans not necessarily for his on field coaching ability.
