Random and DA aren't being completely straight, there is some false information by design.

Most important, Joe,Skip, and Joe are all figurehead. Same people that hired Les are making this hire. Think about the other coaches they have hired.

What about Saban you ask. Lol. These people don't ever want to relinquish power again.

Key to this thread: D500MAG doesn't have any actual knowledge regarding this situation or LSU's power hierarchy, but decided to act like he does.

I'm just picking on you, a bit, but I think everyone knows to take everything said here with a grain of salt.

Last year, a board member and a friend of Les Miles leaked information about negotiations with Jimbos agent to cause a stir with the local and national media and ultimately save Les his job by creating backlash and scaring away a coach that had enough crap going on in his life at the time, and then to have to deal with that, leading him to demand more money at the last second to make it worth the extra headache. After that and pressure from politicians, of all people, the deal was nixed and it never happened.

This year, there should be a lot of misinformation if they learned anything at all, and the proper way about getting these things done. You have to respect the prospective coach because they do care about their players and are still in the middle of their seasons. Everything said on here is unsubstantiated rumors, even if they may be right, until further proven. These aren't to be considered sources if it is on an anonymous message board.

Since it's 5:30am EST, it's time for insider knowledge. Get ready to get your mind blown, padawan.

LSU's next head coach has been successful at four schools, including schools from the Big Ten, SEC and ACC. He's been a head coach in the NFL. He has 12 bowl wins and national acclaim.
