9-36 as a HC. That would be an appropriate way to end this bizarre coaching search.

They would be a laughing stock. It would make the O hire look like Hiring Saban by comparison.

Doubt he's their HC. Alleva isn't their search committee.

at least coach o had the interim stints to trick everyone into thinking he'd learned from his mistakes. steele hasn't been a hc in 15 years.

Exactly, he had two successful stints at USC and LSU, Steele never has.

Could be Venables too. Those two are only ones in consideration for what I know. Situation is fluid though. Miles was eliminated last night.

I forgot about how bad he was at Baylor

Baylor Bears (Big 12 Conference) (1999–2002)
1999 Baylor 1–10 0–8 6th (South)
2000 Baylor 2–9 0–8 6th (South)
2001 Baylor 3–8 0–8 6th (South)
2002 Baylor 3–9 1–7 6th (South)

1-31 in conference play? Holy Schnikeys

he went 1-1 against Kansas in four years, that was his only Conf Win

Hiring Steele may actually be funnier than Fulmer hiring himself.

A little insight for his tenure at BU...

It wasn't just typical BU problems at that time of no facilities, terrible recruiting, lack-luster fan base and presence...

This dude was a bad coach. Kneeling the ball on 4th down thinking it would run the clock out (we lost). Throwing the ball on 4th and goal with the lead and almost no time left (pick 6 we lost). And a host of other asinine decisions that makes you lose faith in the coach regardless of the extenuating circumstances of the program.

That being said, there's no way this guy can STILL be that fcking retarded. The process of osmosis has had to transfer some level of football head coaching acumen to this guy...
