I mean they’ve won 10 games 3 out of the last 5 years at Iowa. I’m sure watching that offense each week is like watching paint dry, but he’s making them as successful as Iowas could probably ever dream of being.

I remember when people said the same thing about Les Miles.

Rodger Sherman
@rodger
Kirk Ferentz took 3 months to hire an offensive coordinator and settled on the guy who got fired after finishing 127th out of 131 teams in offensive SP+ in 2022. Impossibly funny. You couldn’t make it up

Sources: Iowa is expected to hire Tim Lester, the former Western Michigan coach, as offensive coordinator. Lester spent the 2023 season as a Green Bay Packers analyst, and was set to take the OC job at Troy. Iowa also strongly considered former Duke OC Kevin Johns, per sources.

At this point Ferentz is just stealing Iowa's money.

Les' teams couldn't pass but when they played an opponent that was inferior, and most were, they'd at least run all over them. Iowa can't put up offense on anyone.
