I know some UK fans are hoping for this. He has been awful the latter half of this season.

His two minute drill just now definitely left a lot to be desired.

Bryan Fischer @BryanDFischer
RT @BruceFeldmanCFB: #Kentucky OC Neal Brown will be the new head coach at #Troy, a source tells @FOXSports.

Looks that way. I know he's a UK guy but I'm not that terribly sad about it. He flat stunk it up in the 2nd half of the season.

Lots of good young talent on that offensive side though.

Done deal. I hope UK picks up Roper.

Me neither, but I wonder if Stoops let him run things the way he wanted to or not. Their offense basically ran 5 or so plays with little variation it seemed.

Maybe he'll take Craig Naivar with him.

He would be a good choice. I've also seen him linked to Clemson if Morris takes the SMU job.

On the radio, they are mentioning Chris Hatcher. Would be a good choice as well.

Is he a spread guy? I thought he had tried to implement a pro style offense when he was at Georgia Southern.

I think at Murray he is running a spread offense.

As ky said, pretty sure he's running the spread at Murray but as you said I want to say he's run a pro style too. Was at UK as a GA and then QB coach with Couch and Co, so I imagine that's where the name is coming from.

ECU OC is also being mentioned. Lincoln Riley.

I have a feeling Stoops is trying to get away from the old Kentucky regime.

Terrible career move. When Troy lost their APR exemption, they lost their football program.

Ultimately I hope Stoops hires whom he wants to hire and is not influenced by Barnhart.

You would hope. And seeing as Couch helped get him the job, not sure why Stoops would be adamant to get away from that. But we'll see.

Keep in mind, there is a prize recruit down the road.

I think Stoops wants what Jimbo is running in Tally…Also, groom Barker in the new system.

We can probably forget about Harris. He's swinging on the Bama nuts right now. I don't really want Brown to go. Most UK fans think our OC should run the Tecmo Bowl offense, drop back and throw a hail mary every play. Stoops hands are pretty much tied to the Air Raid, since all of our OL commits are for that.
