LSU with Kendall Briles and Dave Aranda would be in the CFP next year. I would bet a lot of money on that if we hired him. Our returning talent and those two coaches, wow.

Shame we didn't just back a brinks truck up to that guys' house.

Tigerbaitlawyer, who is a legit source, said there will absolutely be some staff changes on offense.

I don't think he gave specifics, did he?

I think we could see a Co-OC or "passing game coordinator" that helps redesign the offense.

They love Ensminger calling plays for some reason, but our offense needs some serious redesign. Sullivan was supposed to help with that, but I don't think he added much. Our route trees continued to be 1990's Cam Cameron NFL routes.

We need more quickly developing plays, pistol formation plays, screens, etc. We try to for spread/4 wide, but we make Burrow take 5-7 step drop backs and they take too long to develop.

Might as well let O sink than go to this. I just assume if someone is going to be Co-OC with Ensminger theyre going to be on similar level as far as coaching success.

100% overhaul with a completely new set of coaches who all know the offense. That's how this gets done. Any spot fixes are going to give us more of the same IMO.

YEP, this is all you're gonna get!

LSU will look better, can't get much worse, but it will still be ranked at the bottom.

Everything is fine, just need a few minor tweaks. Same line of thought as previous staff.

I agree completely.

I'm just hoping we get something, rather than nothing, while we still have Dave Aranda on the other side of the ball.

He won't be here much longer. He's going to get HC interest every year.

I agree.

We will be better in every facet on offense, but within the same system. So we'll probably be ranked middle of the pack instead of the bottom of the pack.

Won't be good enough or dynamic enough to beat Bama though.

Instead of being ranked 104th before playing Rice, Ark, AM...LSU will be ranked in 70s and finish in 70s. That will be the improvement.

Need for change will be evident, but the narrative will be the great improvement and don't want to screw up Myles B by changing offense and the talent coming back.

Being, and assisting with maintaining, a coach carousel program will eventually bite you in the butt.

Last I checked an OC has a pretty big part in winning a game, and player development. Is Briles Jr not going to get any heat? Or is him being there toxic cause all are saying he's next in line?

Briles Sr is removed long enough for his foundation to fade out with so many coaches pumping and dumping UH. I'd say that has more to do with it.

UH needs to try to find true stability somehow. Big city, solid fans, great talent pool - like PDiddy making it rain levels - with only really 3 schools they need to wait behind (UTX/Aggies/LSU). UH needs to go after an established old school CEO coach, Mack Brown/Les Miles style, and have him build a solid foundation for the future. Otherwise, UH will nvr get out of being just a "stepping stone" program.

Big difference in the sec and whatever conference they are in and while Houston should always be a very good team in that conference expecting 10 wins every year is nuts

I think Ensminger is a great playcaller he just needs someone to come in that will modernize the plays that he calls. Just look at what he did with Cam Cameron’s playbook.

Start the campaign immediately:
Hire Kendal Briles now!

He would most certainly have more interest in LSU than Tenn or FSU. CEO should get him in, hand him the keys and stay out of the way. Then CEO could just have the main priority of just keeping his two coordinators as long as possible and reaping the rewards for years to come.

HIRE KENDAL BRILES NOW!

Forget it. Ain’t happening. Alleva is a vagina, you know. He’s more likely to give Ensminger a $20M buyout than hire a Briles.
