Kelvin Shepperd- like him as the worst case option

Young and upcoming defensive coach. Alma mater. Can give him 3.5-4/ yr, 5 yr deal, huge pay day for him and we can put 5 mm more to nil La kids a year. DC makes 2.5mm now so save $ for nil there. Go get whomever they determine best oc in the nation.
You flip from someone who didnt care about the heart of the program, the players themselves at times it seems, and truly get what's expected from the role (not just understand and cope, but embrace the challenge and get it can also be the most rewarding hc role in the nation with success. Kelly seemed to only see the pressure as bad), to some one who will grind for its success. And if its found, can turn into long term HC, whereas others would be quicker to nfl or other opportunities.
We just need someone to focus on details, and have strong coordinators calling plays. Kelly did neither, with dc bust 1st 2 yrs, and oc bust last 2. Boosters, gm, etc roles will ensure talent is never an issue with the roster.

You have to go qb wizard if you go young and unproven

Dont mind that either. Would be same scenario. But if young qb wizard finds success, nfl comes calling real quick

If our worst-case scenario is to wait for a first-time coordinator on an NFL team with Super Bowl aspirations, then the coaching search really was a catastrophe.

It is not even about football, he does not have management experience.

Love that too. Called it a worst case option i love ha.. having him as the dc would be great too if baker isnt retained with a new hc
I feel like there's a ton of great options right now. We won 10,10, 9, whatever this yr becomes, with a coach it's coming out that didnt pay attention to details, wasn't involved in recruting a ton, and wasn't around football ops building alot. Got faith in the next guy if its someone who is hungry and grinds.

Apparently Orgeron wants the DC job, I'd gladly take Kelvin over Ed
