Kelly's contract doesn't look like a last minute offer.

Don't get me wrong it's a lot of money. but, It's in line with all of the other hires and extensions. If Woodward was scrambling at the last hour, trying to pull Kelly at the last minute, I would expect much higher numbers.

The fact that Kelly initially said no, but Woodward went back and got him means Kelly was his no. 1 all along. No one else got an offer.

Kelly’s offer looks like it was made/accepted mid season before all the ridiculous extensions and the LR deal.
If this deal was done after all these extensions, BK’s agent would have wanted more. We essentially got the winningest coach in CFB for Mel Tucker money. Think about that.
