Who tf is Carl Reed?
His team has past and current players on the roster that were recruited by and committed to SEC teams…so his sources would be coaches at LSU or rival SEC schools.
It would be pretty disappointing that a search 18+ months in the making with monster buyouts to go with it, yielded Jimbo. The only saving grace would be the current and prior blind squirrel found their nut while leading LSU and it wouldn’t be too far fetched to believe Jimbo could too.

Things are not as they seem to you. There certainly have been discussions between Woodward and Jimbo. I don't think those conversations are what you think.

I don't want Jimbo. He's old and inconsistent. Already out of the playoffs this year and was before Columbus Day even got here.
We don't want Dave Aranda back as DC cause he isn't ready, and Joe Brady just absolutely sucks as a offensive coordinator I mean just look at his numbers this year. 2019 was a decade ago and that team only won cause Burrow.

Jimbo never turned down LSU. In '15 the governor and FKing turned Jimbo away. The paperwork was done. Thye kept Miles instead, so there was no opening
In '16 Jimbo to A&M was already in the works. There was no interest from Alleva anyway. He was focused on Herman, and his dumbass got outsmarted by EdO who leaked it, and Texas then entered the picture
