His contract needs to be modified to include 2 things:
1)His salary will be reduced by 50% unless Crowton is fired the day after the bowl game (no, wait, tomorrow); and
2)He must win as many games next year as this year or be fired after the season (no, wait, more games than he won this season).

Did Les Miles get offered the Michigan job in 2007?
What went down? For fun, we would like to know the truth about that entire weekend..
Thanks

A lot of people don't understand how contracts work.
I'd also love to see how many of you would take less money. Easier to spout BS when you're talking about someone you hate.

I work on contracts daily and it is not uncommon for people to take "less money". It all depends on each individual's priorities and circumstances. "Less money" is usually a concession to receive something else of value. And value (like beauty...) is always in the eye of the beholder...

A new contract isn't necessarily a bad thing. BP said that both sides would benefit.

This was posted back in November. Alot has changed since then. If this was indeed true, why havent they done it? Seriously?

This was posted just a little more than a month ago. Still time for the new contract and the Rich Rod talk had been heating up.

Actually this all could be true but the contract would be for the Michigan HC position not LSU

If this was on the table, and if it has not been finished, does that mean that Miles to Mich is more likely than if this was not on the table?

This won't be done anytime soon, just letting you know it is going to happen.

I believe they will start working on something new in the near future and will have pretty much a new contract for Miles.

these things take time. Very likley Miles and Alleva would not even begin untill after the bowl game.
Once hammered out, it may wait a few months for final signatures.
