IF we offered $6.2 million and some sort of housing allowance, there's no counter offer as far as I'm concerned. Hire someone who wants to be here not just for the paycheck.

Thanks Joe Dean. You have to pay for talent, especially when you are trying to ry it away from another contender.

Why does someone making over 6M need a housing allowance? This is ridiculous.

You know why? 2 reasons. Someone else got it, and someone trying to hire or keep him now will give it to him. Simple as that.

Idk. I know florida has no state income tax so that might be some extra incentive to make up for that. I don't really care. We need to pony up the dough and get this mother fricker rolling finally. Let's go.

Jim Harbaugh allegedly got $8M to start, despite no national championships and he was out of contract at the time.

You want someone? You pay for them, and you don't whine about what it costs. If Jimbo is LSU's man, spend what it takes to get him to Baton Rouge.

That depends on a number of factors. Are you in decent shape? Have you kept things trimmed and aesthetically pleasing? When the moment of truth comes, is it going to be an eruption or a leaky faucet?

You'll be putting on a show: consider the entertainment value.

Schiano is a poster boy for coaches who could have / should have left when they had a chance.

I have no doubt he could have succeeded at Michigan. He might have done okay at Alabama -- and, as an LSU fan, that would have meant Saban never goes to 'Bama, a win/win.

He stayed too long, went to the NFL and failed, and now he's nowhere.
