That's why he preaches "loyalty" so much. And that's why Ensminger's perfect for him. E has no aspirations to be a HC and thus poses no threat.
its like game of thrones. He usurped the throne through deception and betrayal and now he want to kill everyones first born son to protect himmself

Maybe I'm naive, but I honestly don't see how Orgeron could scare anyone into getting his way. I know Alleva is spineless, but with enough pressure from the TAF or whoever else, what does Orgeron have to make people pause about demanding a change? What's he going to do? Quit? Oh no!!!!!!!!!

Oregeron and Alleva are tied at the hip and Alleva knows it. You let O walk/fire him and Alleva is going out the same door

I'd be fine with Orgeron. He has the pulse of the team and the players really love him. But he can't be Les stubborn about his people. He has no equity built up for that. Alleva is going to hear it from someone, and Joe needs to be in Ed's ear every day about it until a change is made.

Find me the teams that the players don’t love their coach

Don't get me wrong: I almost cried when they announced his hire. But get the right OC, Ed. You did well enough this year. But 0-4 against your two biggest rivals with only 29 points scored in all 4 games isn't going to cut it.

It’s not going to happen because it would make entirely too much sense but Alleva should be on the phone with Kendall Briles until he signs as the new OC

Agree with you but imo O made the right decision to bring E back to OC considering the situation he was in. He had to win 9-11 minimum and needed the players and staff to be a cohesive unit. If E comes back hopefully another off season will give him more tkme to implement new concepts. The offense should improve either way with the experience key players like Joe Chase Marshall & the Oline got this season.

barring a total collapse vs atm i don't see a change being made.
you're probably correct. if a damn good replacement becomes available and wants the job, Ensminger may actually step down tho; I have heard too many times he doesn't relish the position.

you have no idea what he thinks. O was so damn pissed at Canada he needed a cheap OC that would bring the coaching staff together and he got it with steve. I think it was based on E's performance in the interim period.
coach O may NOT think the same after a full year.

Exactly what I think.
O went back to the well. The well is dry. O may look elsewhere.
I cannot imagine this program is going to tolerate an offense in the 100's. It's just not good enough.
