20-4 record at Troy. Went 12-2 last year. Clinched the Sun Belt Championship this year

He has been mentioned for the State job. Don’t worry shits about to hit the fan with coaches. Once Faggies hire a coach everything will start moving. About to be a lot of turnover.

Kentucky alma mater. Some think he's waiting for Stoops to take another position and then go home to UK.
Stoops will be a candidate for Michigan State.

He is waiting for Stoops at UK to move on. Could be this year if Iowa opens, and Stoops to Michigan State wouldn't shock me either. I don't see Mississippi State happening for a couple of reasons. 1. If Kentucky comes open, it will be a bad look for MSU if their coach bolts for Kentucky, which would likely happen. 2. State will be a total rebuild and a coach with his trajectory can be a little more choosy.
Jon's an excellent coach though. Think he will be a very good one wherever he lands but he wants the UK job.
