Gruden would be the absolute worst decision the Saints could make. If they are even considering him, then I am concerned about this coaching search. Reasons why it should not even be considered:
1. He is very overrated. He had a Super Bowl win with a loaded team that he did not build. The rest of his coaching career is lackluster to awful.
2. His personnel/draft decisions w the Raiders was the worst in the NFL.
3. His racist emails! How in the world can he lead men who he thinks horrible things about and they know it. Whatever he says to their face, why would they believe him. Free agents will want to avoid or seek a bigger contract to play here.
4. His offense is outdated in the NFL and he has never shown an ability to adapt.
5. A rebuilding team doesn’t need unwanted attention and this guy seeks cameras. This would be Ditka all over again: attention but no substance.
6. Fanbase would be divided.
7. NFL clearly doesn’t like him and he has an ongoing lawsuit against them. Hiring him would give the NFL reason to not give the Saints any scheduling favors, positive publicity, etc.

I think you interview Glenn as a formality, but you are absolutely fricked if you make him the head coach.

Yeah he got the Raiders to the playoffs and they should have won the playoff game in Cincy (this was the year @joeyb led Bangels to the Super Bowl).
Vrabel would be my dream coach for Saints but I'd be cool with MAGA Jon as well.
