Jimbo, Lincoln, Mel, and Dave seem less likely

If you look at recent statements made by Lincoln and Jimbo and the rumored contract extension being offered to Mel and quietness coming from Waco, I am beginning to think that people like Matt Campbell and Napier are going to be the most likely people.
Let's remember that Saban and Miles were not exactly Jimbo or Lincoln in their prior jobs and Coach O was not a resounding success in his previous head coaching jobs.
I believe that someone like Matt Campbell could win big at LSU. Also recall that Jimmy Johnson and Erickson made the jump from Okie State and Wazzou before getting the then premiere (LSU-like job) at Miami.

campbell is out, has told his Agent to stop fielding calls, period.

there is a hold up on tuckers ext but the billionaires told the SJW pres to stfu and approve or they are pulling funding. has huge buyout if he leaves. if he signs, he is out.

I think that if we analyze it not so much as LSU fans we need to realize that Lincoln, Jimbo, and Mel have pretty good things doing on where they are at. Recall that Nick and Les were not exactly the biggest names in coaching. A good competent coach can win big at LSU. I think we sell ourselves short if we believe that the only way to continue winning is to get a Messiah like Lincoln or Jimbo or even a John the Baptist in Mel.

wont happen. Napier will not sign anything until lsu job is filled. he may agree in principle but thats it.
