That is something I worry about- I want a coach to be a motivator and have passion like O obviously still has. For what Fisher stands to make at LSU, he needs to realize he is here to win games and compete for championships!! Does Fisher still have the drive to recruit his arse off like O? I wonder...

Jimbo is in no way better than O.

If we play FL St this year, we'd beat the frick out of them.

Yes as of now jimbo is our best option Herman does not want to keep arranda so jimbo has moved up to no1 on the list. First off besides Saban he's been the best recruiter in college fb since he's started at FSU he's won a national title been to the playoffs and has 2 conf titles in 5 years at Florida state. He's put every starting qb he's had even while he was an oc into the NFL 2 number 1 overall picks 4 first rounders and 8 total QBS. I love coach O but once arranda leaves where does that leave us? There's maybe 2/3 coaches in all of college who have better resumes than jimbo anyone we'd get besides him wouldn't be as good of a coach.

I'm not completely sold. He had 2 great seasons with Winston at quarterback. Otherwise, he appears to be good for 3 losses a year...in the ACC. He's had great recruiting classes, and his team this year is loaded with talent, but already with 3 losses.

"Dissapionting performances" only once miles took over as head coach. Every passing record at LSU was under Jimbo as OC.

You didn't watch the Clemson game. That dude was coaching the whole team. The camera couldn't keep up. They showed him by the bench in the back getting in the O-line's face because they were playing awful in the beginning of the game with penalties and letting their QB get killed, then he was constantly talking to his QB and pointing things out, and he even got in the damn punter's face when the punter completely shanked a punt.

Late in the game, he got flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct while arguing an awful call that negated a huge run which probably would have won FSU the game at that point. He had about as much passion in that game as a coach can have.

Discounting accomplishments before becoming a head coach:

1) 75-17 record as a head coach in 6 and a half years at Florida State.

2) Coached three 1st round pick QBs

3) Three consecutive ACC titles (2012, 2013, 2014)

4) two consecutive undefeated regular seasons (2013-2014)

5) 2013 BCS National Championship Winner

6) 2014 Playoff Appearance

7) ranked finishes in all 6 seasons as a head coach, half in the top 10

8) 10 win seasons five out of his six years as a head coach so far. never had fewer than 9 wins so far.

Best resume by far of any realistic candidate. No contest at all.

So what's your point?

Exactly why you don't hire an NFL OC

OR risk any OC hire

Get a proven HC who can develop college qbs.. which Fisher and Herman do.. period. Doesn't matter in the pros
