Pruitt wants to coach for an organization where handing out bags of cash will be appreciated

I think that is a great move for him. Will likely get a show-cause of some sort and he can enjoy life in the NFL without recruiting.

I bet he never comes back to college. He's one hell of a defensive coordinator.

From a high school DC less than 13 years ago to an NFL job. Say what you want about him but that is an impressive jump

I think as soon as the show cause is over he will be back. Probably Bama in some capacity.

Connor Hughes @Connor_J_Hughes The #Jets are not adding Jeremy Pruitt to their coaching staff, a team source says. Not as DB coach or assistant DB coach.

If he succeeds in nfl why come back and recruit?

The way nfl hires retreads he’d have employment for life

Some guys enjoy recruiting.

NFL is still a hard arse place to work, especially as an assistant. They work insane hours during the season compared to college coaches.

Takes different skill sets and goals to succeed at each level

Yep. Sounds like a show cause move. Knows he’s going to be blackballed a couple years by NCAA

Dude has always struck me as a college coach. I have a hard time seeing him fit in the nfl. But looks like it’s a moot point now.
