He's a solid coach. The 2000-2004 teams he had were highly competitive.

You mean LSU's coach Nix?? He was just great at LSU. Really cared about the players. Who was the big tackle he use to help with remedial reading? Smith? Took him to a tutor. He is where in the pros? Did he coach at USM or play there?

Not really. He is an ok coach. He was hired as an offensives whiz and his offenses never were consistent. His best years were when he had good DCs as they were known for defense. He knows football and ran a good clean program. The program really has not grown under him and they are still stuck in a 33,000 seat stadium.

Yeah, but unless Ole Miss can luck into a guy who has Rich Brooks-like success, what are they going to attract? Bower could at least put a more competitive product on the field.

Ha! Imagine that. Tell him Howdy for me...just tell him the rabid Tiger Fan in Brookhaven, MS...if that doesn't narrow it down enough for him...just mention Ray Comfort.
Luke is one of my all-time favorite folks.
