Why does this guy of all people have any voting power?

I much prefer a HC that will always provide great QB play. Unless it's an incredible defensive mind. Franklin and Tucker are not that.
This really shows how Franklin is limited, IMO. He worked a miracle at Vandy, but he's been avg at Penn St.

franklin will be 36-36 overall and 25-23@PSU in conference play after this weekend when he doenst have joe moorehead to bail him out.

I read the entire question and response. I think he was about as honest as anyone in that situation could be. Granted, I don't want him as our head coach just because I believe, based on his teams performance at Penn St, he's been pretty average and he usually loses a game or two every year that he shouldn't. It seems as if some of you expect him to come out and say to the media, "Hey guys I'm looking to either leave for a better job or get myself a raise." In my opinion, he let it be known that he's loyal to Penn St but that things can change and when other folks start throwing tens of millions of dollars at you, everyone is susceptible to being bought.

He just lost to a REALLY BAD Illinois team and he's looking to get out.
He knows that LSU has an IGNORANT RACIST PIECE OF PURE F*CKING FILTH as President whose only criteria for hiring any employee is that he/she be black.
So, YES, he's looking to cash in.

Pretty much my thoughts, too. I don't want him as our coach, but I thought he handled that question better than most coaches do. He tried to be honest without saying too much, and what he said was actually pretty spot on.
Look, I'm loyal to my team that I work with and my job. I love my job, actually. That said, if a competitor threw enough money into a job offer, I'd probably have to take it. It's just the way business works. When you have a chance to do better for your family and your finances, you take it.
Franklin basically said the same thing. I respect that way more than Saban at Miami telling everyone he wasn't going to take the Bama job and then hopping on the plane straight to Tuscaloosa.
