Peterson has been offered before and turned the job down. I wouldn’t see him leaving UW for SC.

Being reported by USC board admins that Swann is interviewing currently.
Vegas has Petersen and Del Rio as odds on favorites.

Petersen is my top choice, but I'm almost certain it's going to be Del Rio.

I'm pretty sure his son is doing well enough now. My concern is will SC pony up big money for him and his assistants. Del Rio would come for far less.

Leach would never take a job like SC. He likes to be himself and he would be expected to act a certain way that appeals to that area.

Well, it's the morning after the first losing season since 2000 for USC, and still nobody knows anything. Confusion reigns in the Halls of Troy, and right now Swann is not spilling the beans except to say a decision on Helton will be disclosed "soon".
I really thought he should be fired after the ND game last season, but this season was even more disastrous. I don't feel there's any way Helton survives this, and if Swann does the unthinkable and retains him, I believe Swann will get the axe as well.
For now, the Helton decision remains very much a "Don't axe, don't tell" situation.

If we don't hear anything today, that means he's staying. Tomorrow they'll announce he's being retained and bringing in a new staff.
