Sorry, I just don’t believe you. Jimbo isn’t getting hired at LSU. Woodward will not hire a guy who won something years ago..

All had won their conferences recently. They were peaking or trending up.
Jimbo is heading in the wrong direction. Woodward is too bright to settle on a coach. He has never hired ANYBODY who has won a Natty under his watch.
This is his chance. Jimbo’s offense is not something you want to hitch your wagon to.. it’s 9-3 | 10-2 hell.

I believe that.
I honestly believe Riley was offered first, and we’re kinda waiting.
I think Jimbo is Woodward’s second choice and that’s it.
One of those guys will be the next coach.

Somebody I trust very highly is saying Jimbo was offered a shite ton of money. But no confirmation of it was accepted. But we’re talking way more than his current contract.

Keep in mind Jimbo is already recruiting our recruiting targets and many are head to head with A&M. We’d have A&M in a position where their class will collapse while we finish in the top 5

Unfortunately that sounds like the Woodward negotiation method. Just overpay market value by 25-35% and beat your chest.

Whether there have been talks with Jimbo’s agent may be true, but I see little chance of that happening. He’s in a good spot where he is now and finally has the upper hand against LSU. Just got a win over Bama. Jimbo is not anything special as a coach. What he has done is recruit well and his recruits are panning out more than ours, especially on D. He’s the type of guy that will make sure that he makes NIL work to his advantage.

Here's to hoping like hell it's Riley (as I sip this nightcap). We need a guy that can keep us in contention EVERY SEASON. Riley seems to be that guy. Sure Jimbo proved he can win a national, BUT he failed to sustain/reload, and that bothers me. In fairness to Jimbo, few can do it. Most fall prey to the nasty old "human condition" whereby they win the big one BUT then relax a tad bit and then fall back to just above average or worse.

I see another Les Miles in Jimbo except, I feel that he’d completely lockdown the state. The guy knows how to hire great recruiters that’s for damn sure. Sadly, I don’t feel confident that he’d be able to fully utilize that talent. Like has been stated at nauseam, the guy’s offense is just outdated, and I think just as Les before him, his stubbornness would keep us from winning championships.
