it's a win win situation

I like most, was up in arms with the thought of miles leaving. We can make a NC run next year, we have a great class coming in etc, etc.

I also don't know how many programs lose their coach when the program is in such good a shape as ours is now. We are lucky that we are not losing our coach because he ran the program into the ground and needed to get bought out and fired.

We are lucky enough that we are LSU and not rutgers/louiville where it would destroy the program. We also have the best recruiting situation in the SEC

over the last coaching change we did not miss a beat. ANd if not for the worst natural disaster in american history we might have won the 05 national title with or without saban.

point is, we have a very young team and the starters we have coming back alone is enough to make a run next year (assuming the recruiting class completely falls apart).

Very few true freshman play anyway.

weather it's pelini, gruden , mullen we will be fine.

If miles stays we will be fine.

I would prefer he stays for continuity, but a shake up would not be a bad thing either, might even get a little more identity.

In short, we are lucky that the last two coaches left the program at a elite level, and they left because 1 wanted the NFL and the other has the only job open that he would take no matter where he was coaching. How many other programs can say that??
