Really? Joe Brady had no record of success in college football as a coordinator or an OC but that worked out pretty cool. Also DC's come from being position coaches most of the time. Carolina hired Joe Brady to be an OC and Brady had no record of being an OC anywhere. Now Brady is being considered for a HC job in the NFL.

Cool ugh?

As good as Orgeron is at recruiting, he's been equally as bad when it comes to hiring coaches. He's made one good hire, Joe Brady, and he just fell in O's lap. Every other hire has been a disaster.

Heck, Brady himself pretty much made our latest hires on offense. He gave the names to Orgeron and Ed hired them.

I just don't think Orgeron has a clue when it comes to hiring coaches. Maybe he'll luck into a great defensive hire the way he lucked into Brady on the offensive side. If he doesn't, he probably won't get a chance for yet another do-over.

Well we did, then we paid him 4 mil to not come back.

I think he meant it would be cool if we went after someone who has succeeded as a DC in the last 13 years.

It'd would be cool if all of the fans would just calm down and let the coach do his job. let the man hire the guys that he wants. If it works, great. if it doesn't, it will be on him. It's his job and he is the one whose career is on the line.
