definitely, if you're not at a top 10 job right now you are fielding the call.

Just think this late in cycle / potential athletic department turnover given Harbaugh era + now this is setting up a punt year.

The real question is, why the f ck was Moore head coach in the first place?

Michigan knew they were going to get caught for the cheating and no active coach was going to take over the program with impending probation that could be harsh. It made sense that UM could hire within and get some good PR for hiring a person of color to ride out that wave.

UM was probably aware of all of this for some time and it was their ace in the hole for when the program began to slip. If he would’ve beaten Ohio State, this likely doesn’t see the light of day until October.

The entire department is about to be flipped upside down.

Don't know why ya'll think these type of "investigations" don't rise above the athletics director. If he knew then people above him knew. Maybe they tell Manuel to fall on the sword but the only way the whole thing gets run off is if the chick and her family presses on it.

I bet BK would be a 10x better fit at Michigan than LSU and prolly have a lot of success.

Wonder if they retain him for the appearance of stability

Not really. Coaches have egos and feel like they'll be able to overcome the negatives. Look at the shitshow LSU was for about two weeks and it didn't make a difference.

Notice you cleaned up your BK mess before Lane came. That's not coincidence.

They have the money, tradition and resources to make a damn strong offer. But the shite show and lingering ramifications are going to scare off many top candidates.
