Is there some sort if financial chess match going on with LSU/Chavis

Has there been official announcements from either school...either LSU firing him or him quitting or aTm officially hiring him?
Since Alleva announced us going after the 400k, it sure has been pretty quiet with no announcement of contract with aTm.
I DO NOT want Chief back or my bs about that. I'm just confused on what's going on with the situation pertains ing to his contracts
