What happens if he stays. He is viewed even more as a whore now and coaches are already using his move against him. If he stays at Bama short of a Natty he will retire next year. Otherwise the gumps gonna gump.

Now if he is gonna then at UT he better produce quick. He will have two years then it will be necessary to worry it may not happen. Each year it doesn't retirement looms.

The man thrives on pressure but Tejas is not going to use the same standards for Saban as Mack. Saban is being paid to guarantee wins and Natties.

Saban has made a bed either way he may not want to sleep in in two or three years.

Yeah, ok. #1 recruiting class in the history of sports about to come in, and he's worried about stains on his Crimson sheets.

With the money he'll be making he can make a comforter out of 100 dollar bills. I'd love to make that bed.

Winning cures all. If he continues to recruit and win at a high level, Bama won't and shouldn't care.

He is Mollie Cyrus right now on the recruiting trail and the other coaches are gonna flip some of your prize cruits. Just watch. Paging the Gus bus.

Saban got the flu when he was a kid. His fever spiked to 110 degrees and it totally fricked his hypothalamus. His body no longer requires sleep and he never feels tired. He takes two taurine/B12 injections in his butt every morning and he's good to go for another 24 hours.

Texas is not a huge rebuild or anything. If he goes, I would not be surprised if he was playing for the national championship his first season.

Nah. I've already conceded it to Bama. They've had 3 Bama bumps in the past 2 months. One player has been out for 2 months with an injury.

But what if that doesn't happen? Expectations are 1st year if not second.

Yes he still blinks.

Speaking of, watch Les's eyes next time he's on camera. Human eyes don't look like that.

Unless Saban does something really stupid like signing a contract that isn't basically fully guaranteed money then what does he care?

I do think that it is a reach to assume Saban will just walk in to Texas and just win Nattys though. When Saban comes in he is going to have to perform a complete enema. The culture of that team right now is the Anti-Saban and filled with entitlement. There is talent there and he is certainly going to be able to recruit more great talent but it won't be like the Bama or LSU situations where they completely handed over the keys. I also think age is going to factor for him, this is going to be a major rebuild. There are no more entitled and arrogant fans than Texas.

The main thing he has going for him is the BDF is terrible and he will have a huge resource advantage over every other school. I could see Texas becoming like Ohio State is with Meyer right now as a best case. I could also see several things that could make it all blow up.

Iowa State
Kansas State

Would you be that shocked to see Saban run the table? I would not.

This is a man who came to LSU in 2000 without a single coach following him. He started from scratch and won the SEC Championship in 2 years and the NC in 4. I don't think the UT situation or the bed he's made scares him.

Your point serves my point. Expectations arer there and what if it doesn't happen? Trouble. Normally a coach gets 3 or 4 years. At Bama it is over if he doesn't win next year because he is already ready to leave. At Tejas he will have the world on his shoulders. That is a heavy load even for a demi-god.

Mack Brown did not become a terrible coach because of a lack of ability or experience. He's where he is because he lost his fire, his drive, his hunger. He rested on his laurels. Any competent coach will go 10-2 at Texas given their schedule and built in advantages. Saban is more than competent.

Oh yeah it is a given to go 10-2 but Tejas is not going be happy with 10-2 after year 2.
