I did think UF's receivers underachieved this year but I don't think it was entirely Gonzales' fault or that he is even the main guy to blame. Deonte Thompson has tons of speed and Riley Cooper is a beast. With his size and speed he should have been All-SEC. I think it had more to do with timid playcalling and I am excited to have Gonzales on board with his excellent history of coaching. Harvin may have gotten by on pure talent in high school and college but you don't just step into the NFL and have that type of impact without knowing what you're doing. The same goes for Louis Murphy. Welcome to Baton Rouge, Gonzales

•Receivers have become a part of the running aspect of the Florida offense since 2005, as the group has carried the ball 222 times for 1,781 yards and 15 touchdowns. The Gator offense has averaged 8.0 yards per play when a member of the unit carries the ball.

Since Tebowe is gone, maybe Florida is going to more of a passing game. Maybe Meyer is a gentleman like Miles and was nudging Gonzalez to look for another opportunity prior to the seasons end.

Not saying he was a horrible coach, but he wasnt a great one either. Lafell's drop and Tolivers slow development as a freshman and sophomore come to mind.
ETA: LSU could have done better, and now we have.
coaches don't play the game for players,they teach them how it's supposed to be done. A math teacher teaches 30 gifted students. If they don't all make As,is it the teacher's fult or the students' fault?

I thought Randle clearly got better. And R.J. Jackson emerged kinda out of nowhere. But our QB was too bad passing to really be critical of WRs or their coaches.
