Is ESPN trying to control who Penn State hires?

They keep pointing out any negatives they can find about O'Brien, and they keep showing the same clip of him screaming at Tom Brady. They keep talking about how unhappy the former Penn State players are with the decision, and the analysts keep referencing the Brady video and saying "if you're a parent, is this who you want your kid to play for?" Now Penn State is saying there is no official word yet. Is this another example of ESPN putting the squeeze on a program and forcing a different outcome?

Why shouldn't Espn try? It might work.

They obviously controlled who gets to play in the BSSCG

Ah, I must have missed that. I had just got home and flipped the tv on, and it seemed like there was a major anti O'Brien slant going on. LOL

Well ESPN has already orchestrated a situation to frame a good college football coach at Texas Tech.

No, that was the TT administration that fricked the Pirate.

But...EPN did frick the author of his book, Bruce Feldman.

I really need to read his book. I'm certain that I'd enjoy it.

By far what he's most famous for and honestly the most interesting thing I know about him is, "Oh he's that guy"

I don't know why, either. That stuff happens a lot more than people think, the cameras just don't show it too often. I think it was way overblown because he was yelling at the untouchable Brady.

I'm pretty sure EsipN wanted a member of the Cow10 conference and not 2 SEC teams.

That's not really true. The only people who are getting what they want are in the south. The northeast, midwest, west coast, northwest college football fan bases wanted to see something other than a rematch.

ESPN is controlling the conversation, the scheduling and the bowl line ups.

Considering the ratings for this year's Rose Bowl were the lowest ever, I think it's safe to say the majority of people watching the games are in the South.
