Is anyone else just apathetic about this DC search?

I am not letting myself get worked up over this. However, I feel like its scary how apathetic I've gotten and I hope its not common amongst our fan base. I feel defeated and its not over yet.

Whatever happens happens. We can't do shite about it. We'll be fine because of our talent and TOP controlling offense. Just get some small school DC that is up and coming, sign O to recruit, and be done with it.

Wait till O turns LSU down as he has done before. Then the whining can kick into another gear.

Thats a stretch

I was there though, and wasn't upset at the loss. I just enjoyed being there and watching some football. 3 years ago, a loss would've sent me into 2 days worth of depression.

I was not upset about the loss in the bowl game. I didn't even watch the Arkansas game because I knew what was going to happen. I laughed at the end of the bowl game when Notre Dame drove down the field. I was watching it with other LSU fans and we all just shook our head and started talking about other things. No one cared.

The DC search is just another example of the "end of game time screw up" that we have seen over and over. Les was taken off guard, didn't have a plan, and just let 22 seconds run off the clock with under a minute to go before realizing that he had a timeout left and calling it with 8 seconds to go. It is a complete screw up.

But, whatever. I am over it. I come back here and check to see if anything has happened, but I am done believing that LSU football will be relevant again until we have a new coach or I am proven wrong by Miles. I am no longer emotionally invested in it, though. I am not a masochist.

It's time we march for Bill Clark, but we all know Les would never take that gamble

Thing is, LSU, Les Miles, and Alleva, have/had a chance to make a hire that will inject some life into the program. Not saying it won't happen, but we've missed on the big names we wanted.

They are royally fricking up an opportunity here to remove my apathy.

Whatever.

ETA:

And I didn't freak out seeing Chavis go. He was a good DC, but we could replace him with someone good. We just haven't yet.

With 1.5 to sling around and a loaded roster, none of us dreamed that Haley would ever be a legitimate candidate for DC. Hell, we were celebrating that he was probably on his way out the door.

Cat, I know you've been Anti-O given he was at OM when you were there. Do you endorse the reformed O?

Not in any DC capacity. Guy didn't grow a brain during his reform. I have definitely warmed up to him as DL coach and recruiter.

As an X and O guy, he is abysmal.

Well, since you started a post about it, I figured you weren't TOO apathetic.
