Hearing that one of the first guys Woodward reached out to was coach Brian Kelly… Don’t sleep on Brian Kelly.

I don't think you, of all people, are in any position to call someone else stupid.

will probably hire Mel Tucker.

Inconceivable except that it would follow a trend of LSU making horrible coaching hires.

If Mel Tucker is the hire then LSU is not as attractive of a job as we think.

Only on this board.

Fortunately, no one here is making the call.

I’m warming up to Tucker if the alternative is Jimbo.

Wrong. I will say this the last time. The deal is done.
Do you really think Woodward has a legal pad full of names checking of the positives or negatives of a coach week by week?

NO...the offer has been made and the next coach will not be Tucker, Napier, Aranda or Kiffin.

I will say "I told you so," the day of the hire."

You can only do that if you tell us who it is right now.

You don’t get an “I told you so” unless you call your shot. There are 130 fbs head coaches. Saying 4 of them won’t be the hire is not worthy of an “I told you so.”

LSU boosters who are still peeved at Jimbo from LSU’s last attempt to hire him.

1) There was no last attempt to hire Jimbo, Herman was the guy in 2016.

2) The boosters are the very people that gave SW the money to buyout Orgeron, and then lockdown the next coach

Quit making up shite.

Tucker has not signed anything yet.

More fiction from you.

"Mel Tucker’s about to secure the bag," said Mike Valenti, corroborating Beard's report. "Long-term extension, $6.8 million with incentives to take him to $8 million. It firmly puts him in the top 8 highest-paid coaches. It gets him Ryan Day money. Both Rico and I have heard the same things. This is not new. They’ve been working on this for weeks."

That doesn’t mean it’s signed.

It would probably be public by now if it were signed sealed delivered
