In the end, what contingent had the louder voice on the OC hire?

Gilbert looks to be the next OC. Young, exciting, clean and respected. I would guess that O planned for Ensminger, but rejection came from multiple directions (maybe even SE himself).
My assumptions...
Ensminger: CEO, BOS and Old Fan support. Alleva and younger fan base against
Shady Candidates: CEO and Young support. Old Fans, BOS and Alleva against
Gilbert: Everyone supports?
So it seems the decision makers (Not CEO) got it right by appealing to all contingents and therefore everyone wins. Nice job by someone...whoever that someone is.

O didn't plan on Ensminger. What the hell else does he say in that presser? Well we don't have anyone on staff to take over.

E doesn't want to be blamed for next years offense. It will be an absolute shite show. Let someone else take the blame. No skill players.

It was clear when O made the statement yesterday when Canada settled that he wasn’t going to hire SE.

I’m seriously thinking that someone was listening to all opinions of the fan base and I don’t think CEO got his first or second choice by reading some of these folks here claiming to have insider knowledge.

We have plenty enough skilled players for a capable oc who can develop a modern passing game to create a good offense with.
How many studs do you think the tcu,ok state, USF, of the world bring in.
How many Russell shepherds, Malachi Dupree, etc has come ur previously feeble offense ruined.
Get one of the qbs playing well and it’s amazing how good our skill players will look.
