I know, you can't really do that, but let's just say we assume his wife issues are a thing of the past (mental issues rarely are, but we can hope), and ignore everything on his resume since the Tulsa gig...

Would LSU, looking only at the years and progress he made at Tulsa, have hired him as OC for a program like LSU's (with the talent to win the NC next year in almost everyones estimation) ?

If you say yes, then you should be happy.

If not, then hit the bar.

We'll be fine. Even Crowton called some good plays from time to time. His problem was he would go away from what worked.

Example: We're really doing well rolling JJ out of the pocket. Wait, I've already checked that off. Let's go 5 wide!!

He's terrible.

He took a Tulsa team that won 3 games in 4 years and won 29 games in the next 4.

Terrible. God awful.

I never felt any significant animosity toward the idea of getting him.

My biggest issue with Crowton was the confusion. If we can come out the huddle with a decent amount of time on the playclock, and then make changes Ill be happy. Hopefully he'll cut down on the substitutions and other bullshite which hurt us.
