exactly. All the guys saying Franklin has a way better resume..... does he?

take out the moorehead years (2016 & 2017) then franklin is a failure at PSU. His offenses have been terrible except for one year when moorehead hasnt been there. He went 4-5 last year & will be 5-3 after this weekend (2-3 in conference). He will be 25-23 at psu without moorehead in conference.

his record at psu without moorehead are

7-6
7-6
9-5
11-2
4-5
5-2 with OSU, Mich, Mich State still left to play :rotflmao:

frick that dude. The guy was hiding from the media, not to mention he has tried to fight a fan in the stands before.

Look, Franklin isn’t my first choice, but the guy won over 40 games at Penn State from 2016 to 2019 and that was the time with this school was trying to recover from massive NCAA sanctions and hundreds of millions of dollars in fines and victim settlements. Good Lord, Penn State had a defensive coordinator raping teenage boys in the Penn State showers. How would you like to have to recruit to a school with that kind of Recruiting nightmare in players, moms, and dad‘s mind. At one time the NCAA was to take 80 scholarships away from Penn State in a four-year period. Now, that was reduced but still.

As I said, he’s not my first choice, but he seems to have been placed in very difficult places to win, Penn State after a massive pedophile scandal and Vandy where is just historically a tough place to win, and he seems to have handled both of those situations pretty dang well

I'm seeing a lot of this...So, who is your first choice? Be specific. I'll wait...

I would literally choose just about anyone that has been mentioned over Franklin. He would be a disaster in public relations

And? Franklin has a higher floor, but we've pretty much seen his ceiling, haven't we?

I'm not disputing he's currently a better and more accomplished coach than Napier. But I think we know exactly what we're getting with Franklin and that's not good enough. Hiring Franklin seems exactly like hiring Miles all over again to me. Why would we want to go through that again?

Napier might crash and burn. But at least he would be cheaper with a contract that's easier to get out of. His ceiling is also completely unknown, so that's more intriguing than the guy who's going to go 9-3 every year.

"The other won 9 games a year at USL."

MIRACLE WORKER TO accomplish that at Southwest Louisiana Junior College; a traditionally bottom feeder "Sisters of the Poor" football program.

He'd kick arse at ULSU with a great DC and OL Coach.

Well according to his press conference this week, he’s focus on Illinois so…
