We could be in. Depends on how much ground we gain in the polls after this win.

Ohio State for sure. The other spot will be Georgia, LSU, USC, Va. Tech or Kansas. Should be LSU, probably Kansas.

A blowout today by LSU would have made it interesting.

Do UGA and KU make the conversation? I ask because I thought they passed the rule about not winning your conference = no chance at BCSCG. Either way, I don't see us getting in, but it would make for some interesting discussion.

There is no rule, but voters can control it IF they put the thought into it.

UGA won't get it.

There's been enough of a backlash before when a team that didn't win its conference (or even its division) made it to the title game that I'd be surprised if Georgia gets the duke.

Instead, it will come down to LSU, V-Tech, and USC, with USC getting it because of the big push by ESPN claiming they're the hottest team in the country right now.

So, no rule, but just a "public" push. How many more years of this BS do we need to endure until we get a playoff?

If both teams lose tonight, this will probably be enough to do it.

Ohio State's a given to make it in, but it'll be a shite-storm no matter who gets the 2nd slot.

Kansas and Georgia couldn't even win their divisions, let alone their conferences.

V-Tech got killed by LSU.

LSU just lost to Arkansas in an ugly game.

USC lost to friggin' STANFORD.

Hawaii? I'll answer you when I stop laughing.

ESPN radio last night said:

More than likely if both lose.....

Ohio State will obviously play
vs. a tight race between VT and LSU

Georgia will more than likely get jumped because voters are not going to put them ahead of a 2 loss SEC Champion LSU.

Kansas will get jumped for much of the same reason that Georgia would...they didnt play for their conference championship.

This leaves LSU, USC, VT

LSU beat VT by 5 TDs
USC lost to a horrible Stanford...

for these reasons, they believe it would be Ohio St - LSU.

Lots of upsets gotta happen between now and then. we have done all we can do at this point

Doesn't it suck that idle, weak, no conf. champ-game OSU would be a shoe-in??

SUCKS.

No way USC jumps us. They barely beat an awful UCLA team.

I am not being negative about LSU because I would love to see y'all get a shot at the NC but those yankee sportswriters will never lmake ohio state play an SEC team for the NC. If they can figure out a way to give it to Ohio State they will. They will never give an SEC school a shot unless they have to.

Boss, I hear ya. It makes sense to me, but I'm biased in a way the ESPN/West Coast/Big 11 voters don't seem to be. I don't see all the stars aligning this year (unfortunately) for us or all the voters actually seeing things objectively (what you said). I do like the Miles pres though now.

You have to throw USC out, they lost to Stanford in regulation. That would be complete bullshite if they let them in the NCG.

I would also throw Kansas out just because their coach is such a fat arse.
