I am officially off the Miles support group. I am mad at Alleva, but would be more disappointed in Miles answer to this challenge.

This is reasonable.

This is ridiculous and immature.

I do agree that this hire will be Miles' last chance at hiring a DC. If he fails in this one, he won't get another opportunity.

It's organic brother... like the Psalms, they are authentic and wide open...

I don't really want that to happen, I don't really wish bad for Miles, I love LSU

but I am very frustrated with the way this deal is going down and I have been a positiger for 10 years

having no QB most years, combined with this mess has pushed me to the ledge

I'm with you, but you are overboard. You just wished Coach O to kick LSU's arse on the recruiting trail because you disagreed with the hire.

I wouldn't agree with a Haley hire. But, I'll certainly see it through.

Having said that, if the hire goes south, Miles needs to be let go in quick order...cause this search would have either been a debacle...or Miles would have chose to make a risky move when it didn't call for it. Either way, Miles is married to this DC hire.

Mark my words we will be looking for a new head coach after next season. This will be a disaster. There is a reason no one has looked at him before as a D-coordinator. LSU should have been able to get who ever they wanted.

Oh now it's official for you? Don't worry, I already see Beefense is carrying the torch without you. That guy is the father from Life is Beautiful.

Should buy out Venables

I agree LSU should do absolutely better than promoting a guy within who didn't even have a very successful d-line.. now you want him to scheme and coordinate an entire defense in the SEC.. when he failed at some smaller school?

eek LSU should be able to do better

Oh yeah, I get that. I just find it funny what finally causes some people to get frustrated. Oh well, as someone else already said, welcome to the dark side.

1/9 definitely set the ball in motion for a lot of us. Prior, I set aside my CLM misgivings for what truly had been a great LSU season. Then he completely trashed it and himself as coach in front of the whole nation. One does not readily recover from such a debacle.

The assistants shouldn't have had extensions on the table before their DC had signed his. Alleva fricked that up.

agreed. it is unheard of to do what alleva just did. you always secure the coordinator FIRST...

Who do u want? To me venables is the best choice but he just signed an extension. If we moved sooner maybe we get him. Don't think Pendergast fit the group. Shoop who knows. Easy to stay then leave. Muschamp already had a deal with auburn. Durkin was rumored to head to Michigan. It was slim pickings. I am okay with Haley at dc and coach o. Let Haley focus in gameplan and lb's. Coach o on d line and recruiting. U can coach your arse off but u have to have talent. Not a lot of mo clairbourne and Jacob Hester's out there. Get elite talent and see what he can do.
