He's trying to FIRST figure out if UH gets a Big XII invite. If they do, he probably takes big money from Tillman Fertita and stays. But, it's currently looking like David Boren at OU would block UH.

If they don't, he possibly chooses between his grad school, USC and LSU. But that's assuming UT fires Strong. Strong is an established big-time race card puller. I think they're deathly afraid of getting crucified in the current political environment for not giving a black midget (DOUBLE minority) enough time. Which would make it a race between USC and LSU.

Herman has a successful 1-2 years here before Texas throws the oil money at Herman and he leaves us

Simple plan for this

1) put Huge 20 million UT buy out clause in contract
2) when he leaves peel off15 million lure Saban from the Bama
3) ????
4)Profit

Always wanted to do one of those

LSU isn't a stepping stone job nor are we afraid to pay a coach if he is successful.

I also don't think Herman is a risk to go to the NFL. He has literally never played or worked in the NFL at any point and I don't think his system works in the NFL.

Lots of people thought Les would go to Michigan. And that didn't happen. Which means Herman could do the same with UT. If/when Herman comes to LSU he could get caught up in the traditions and atmosphere and not leave. You never know.

exactly. Everyone just assumed Miles was going to leave for Michigan when they came calling, but he didn't. Miles actually was an alumni of Michigan and had coached there before. Miles had big ties to Michigan. Hermans has very little in the way of ties to Texas. He never went to school there and only coached their as a graduate assistant for 2 years.

If Herman comes here he's not going to leave after 2 years. If he really wants to be at Texas he'll wait for Texas. Herman is young he's looking for a place to make his mark we know he's interested in the sec so if he decides to come here he'll be here awhile. I don't get the nfl option so many ppl are worried about he's a spread option coach what he does doesn't work in the nfl why would he go. Meyer who you could compare Herman too has never done it I just don't see Herman as an nfl coach.

Why do you believe this? he is from California if im not mistaken...he has been in Houston for what 2 years...you need to give an argument that backs this belief
