Incredibly out of the realm that they may fire Sumlin (I think) I Still think he has another year, but my boss is a big booster.. told me this morning they would go after Chad Morris at SMU..

Wouldnt be a bad idea for them imo...

Yep, they have had great success hiring offensive coaches from the Conference USA.

Morris also hasn't won a conference title just like Sumlin.

ETA - AAC, not C-USA

Top two candidates would be Larry Fedora and Chad Morris. If we swing and miss on our first two targets (Fisher and Herman), we could find ourselves fighting to keep Fedora from A&M.

Hindsight being what it is, we hired the wrong CUSA coach in 2011-2012. We should have hired Fedora.

I can see Morris fitting in there.

He has a 15 million buyout and had them in playoff contention a couple weeks ago.

It think he gets one more year.

I heard it was a 10 million dollar buyout that has to be paid in full 60 days after termination.

The natives are very restless in College Station. If they think they can get Fedora, I would not be surprised with a move.

Believe its 10 million paid in full in 60 days.. and thats why i think its out of the realm... I mean you never know, but 4 seasons in a row of november tumbles and TAMU has some serious money.. they could if they wanted too.. plus they might be looking at us thinking hey they pulled the trigger too late and look what it did to LSU's season.. we were a top 5 ranked team that was loaded this year and now we have 4 losses.. Damn emotional women bitching last year is what cost the season this year... alleva wanted to make the move after AM last year but public outcry caused this crap..

yeah Fedora was born and raised there.. his brother won a State Title a few years ago at Navasota, just right down the road from CS.. Chad Morris won 30 games in a row at Lake Travis.. hell UT could go after him..

Fedora would crawl on his knees to Collie Station, just like he would to BR.

Hey Lobotomy, I see you've changed your 'fav team' logo to LSU this week. Are you pulling for a Sumlin loss so that he gets bagged? If so, you are not alone from what I hear in Aggie World.

Not dissimilar from a lot of our feelings going into the florida game.

youre wrong as always. he currently has a $15.4M buyout.

if youre gonna keep pretending to be some insider you at least need to learn the basics.

oh yeah, no doubt, his 5-7 record will have the P5 beating down his door, theyll go to the AAC and skip right over Montgomery, Taggert, and Frost to get to Morris.

it must be so exciting to live in your world of backroom deals and insider information!

Won't happen this year. The buyout is $15MM paid within 60 days. There isn't united booster support for getting rid of him, particularly given that the big schools to the east and west of us are both looking for coaches right now. What I think happens is that he is given next year to hang himself and then gets fired at the lower buyout, with the added benefit that next year will be so bad that no one can blame us.

no dude, youre wrong, once TigerFan55555 throws out a dozen names that dont make any sense and details that are clearly wrong, you can etch it in stone, its almost eerie to witness how he sees the future. personally i suspect that he has a time machine.
