why the GT bowl game? they already know he is leaving. they have already been interviewing his replacement.

i say after the BCS title game. this team has had enough distractions and i think miles has respect for pelini and wants it to be his day defensive wise and not have tenuta's hire overshadowing his accomplishments at LSU. even though i don't agree with alot of his calls and his style. i respect the man for helping out our program and getting use back to the big game.

Here's a line from the AJC on why Tech's new coach didn't retain tenuta....

So, why not have Tenuta keep running things? Johnson said they talked, but that it never came down to him deciding whether to retain the man who has been Tech's defensive coordinator for six seasons and made this season's Yellow Jackets 12th nationally in total defense and 17th in scoring defense.

"When we sat down to talk, he said there were some other things he was interested in doing, and that's kind of where it was," Johnson said.

Tenuta will be Tech's interim coach through the Humanitarian Bowl against Fresno State on Dec. 31. Johnson plans to have a new staff in place by Jan. 2.

He's not gonna do that right now. He'll most likely wait until after the game and/or right before LSU releases it.

he will wait until after our game.

NCAA rules only allow a certain number of coaches to be on staff. Pellini is still on staff, he has not signed his contract with Nebraska. when he is gone, the new DC can step in
