A)if Saban did take the Texas job, there is no chance he would "request" to coach Alabama in the bowl, he would immediately be on the recruiting trail for Texas (dead period or no dead period, recruiting coaches and players)
B) Saban isn't a "gameday" coach anyway. I could see Alabama wanting him to stay for bowl practices to prepare the players, but wouldn't make any difference if he was there for the game or not.
