It comes down to if he can maintain or is he a builder?

This is so stupid.

Please give me a list of coaches who are considered "program builders, but not maintainers".

Then give me a list of coaches who cant "build" but are better "maintain" coaches.

Give me a list of guys who can "build" and "maintain" as well.

what in his coaching career would lead you to believe he prefers to maintain a program rather than build one?

everytime he jumped, he jumped "up"

there isn't really an "up" from bama

hell Saban will go to any school that will pay him the money. The man doesnt care who he works for as long as he gets pay. I think his track record proves that. so if ND offer him 6 mill a year bye bye bama.

If all you Bama fans really care so little about what LSU fans think and say, then why don't you go back to your own boards.

It's wishful thinking from the opposing fans that hope Saban leaves Alabama.

That said, Saban also has never stayed at any coaching stop for more than 5 years in his entire coaching career.

Due to his job hopping he has also never had to maintain what he has built. I do not doubt his ability to do so, but Saban's history is pretty clear and if he does remain at Alabama long term, it will be un-chartered water.

Nick Saban is not leaving Alabama. He is 58 years old and doesn't have a place of Legacy that will roll out the red carpet for him after he retires. At 58 years of age I guarantee that is what he is thinking. He burned that with Lsu so now he is going to stack his legacy at Alabama. It is what it is.

but going with the premise of this thread, if someone backs up the brinks truck and offers him 8millz, he's a GONE PECAN

exactly. he probably won't go anywhere this year but there is zero in his professional career that would indicate that he's going to be happy settling down somewhere and scratching out a 15 year coaching career in one place.

Of course. I am on record saying he stays at Alabama. In my opinion, it's his only real challenge left at the collegiate level - maintaining a program he built. I think he's done with the NFL or rebuilding another program for a while.
