If Mile leaves, he owes Herbstreit an apology

Whether Miles leaves or not, Herbstreit was wrong with the story. Leaving now does not change that fact.

No, he would owe his players an apology. I could give two shits about Miles and his dreams and his wife's happiness and whatever. Whatever Miles decides to do, he will get richer coaching a game. His players don't have the freedom to do the same thing. They have laid it on the line for him time and time again--at least one of whom could have gone pro last year and made more money than Miles and his staff put together. The players showed great leadership and maturity by not letting the Perriloux issues blow up. That was a season (maybe job) killer just waiting to happen. It had all the potential--black/white QB, local kid, etc. His players--the ones he professes his love for--kept that powderkeg from igniting. If Miles reverses himself after all of his protestations about love for his players and the chapel meeting blah blah blah, he will be scummier than Saban on his worst day because he manipulated his own players. These are the guys who actually converted all of the 4th downs against Florida, the late pass against Auburn, overcame jillions of penalties, didn't let Saban embarass him with a loss in Tuscaloosa, etc. Miles has led a charmed life because of the players, and they are the ones who are being manipulated.

Just think how much ESPN owes LSU in damages with the contining story only because they have run out of news. They play the rating game. Michigan, Ohio Stae, Arkansas, and LSU are all watching.
