A proven winner in a BIG conference, BCS game wins, playing twice in conference title game in 3 years, possible SECCG, PLUS he's a Michigan alum that played for Bo.

If Michigan doesn't want Miles with this pedigree, then why does LSU?

To me, this would say a lot about not only the perception of our coach from outside the LSU family, but you have to question what Michigan sees that turns them off on Les.

If Les doesn't go to Mich we will have egg on our faces, and until Les wins the big one, he'll be LSU's gump coach for all the media to ridicule and the guy who divided the LSU fanbase for his entire tenure....until he wins the big one.

Who cares what the media thinks. He's got passion and guts, and he recruits well. I'll take Miles for the next 10 yrs.

I think it is pretty clear what Les has going agaisnt up there. SOme people are mad because he did things that operated in LS's best interest and not Michigan while he was Coach down here. However oddly LSU fans don't even appreciate that.

if michigan didn't want miles, it would only be because they are trying to get away from the bo s tree

and/or he's tried too hard to be the crazy guy who talks shite in the media and they're not bout that

Bingo, if they offer he goes. If they don't offer, then they see something in him they don't like and I doubt it's because of recruiting or anything else. It will be a reflection on their views on his ability to lead their program.

I hope they offer and he turns them down to stay. That would be awesome.

The day Les turns down Michigan to stay at LSU is the day the world will explode. He is gone if offered.

What is the basis of the these doubts. Michigan Media has pretty much laid out that Carr does like Miles and there are people spreading rumors about him up htere. The Miles is "dirty" rumors and allegations we know do not come from down here or in the SEC. But they are all the story in Michigan. Why is that?

What facts on the grounds lend you to discount all this that has been reported

Agreed...at least not publicly...Miles won't make Michigan look bad in the unlikely event that he rejects their offer...

There has been a huge change in perception from most UM boards I have seen. almost as soon as Carr retired the machine went into effect to work over miles rep.

Sacrificing both the national perception of himself, but more important the national perception of our program. I don't want every media outlet throwing this in our face after every questionable decision. I can hear it now, "and this is exactly why Michigan passed over him", right out of Danielson's mouth to the ears of God.

Am I wrong here, but we are FIGHTING to be the next Miami, Florida, FSU...a dominate program with the highest level of national respect, a continuous long run of competitive years, conference titles, a few natty's, etc...
