What is the maximum number of seasons any legit OC who can turn our offense around and develop QB's will be at LSU?

Depends. If he comes in, magically develops a QB, and turns LSU into a modern offensive juggernaut then he's gone after a year. If he comes in and the QB play remains average at best then he could be here for a few years. Either way I don't think he stays long.

He's the guy winking and mouthing "Call me" to other chicks while he's slow dancing with his prom date.

Without trying to sound like an arse, it's could've, not could of.

I typically try not to be a spelling or grammar Nazi but this particular error drives me nuts and you provided the perfect platform to spout that. Sorry.

Internet message boards have driven spelling and grammar in this country straight into the fricking toilet.

Stepping down from my soapbox now. End of rant.

I just don't see why he'd risk it, even if he doesn't gel with Saban

He has it made there until HC

It's a huge gamble

And if he for some reason was to come and is around more than one season it's probably because he wasn't any good

I would think 2 years, but it wouldn't shock me if it was longer. Every mid major knows Lane would want to use them as a stepping stone, and how he left his other head coaching jobs were not pretty. I think his best chance is to work wonders with the LSU offense and then land a job at a place like Arizona State (which might be open next year).

If he did well at LSU who's to say he's not head coaching material here? I can see O's schtick getting played out pretty quickly, but I'm not an O hater either.

Why does everyone assume he will have opportunities to leave? What opportunities did he have last year? Which ones does he have this year? What jobs do you see next year that would hire him?

I see him getting turned down by AAC schools.

That depends on how successful he is.
