Wouldn't you think he would stay here alot longer than Walker would. I just don't see Chavis leaving for a HC position.

If it turns out to be something like

Chavis
Coach O and
Willis

I will be very pleased with the decision.

"because he won't leave" is never a good reason to hire someone. I want to hire people who my competitors are jealous of and want to hire away from me. I'd rather have someone who's great and leaves than have someone who's mediocre and stays.

No no what I am saying is that I would never think that he would leave. Trust me I would love to have someone devoted to their position here so much that they would never ever think about leaving.

How long was he the DC at Tennessee?

How much better would Tenn defense be if not fr the O going 3 and out 95% of the game?

Our Defense had a similar problem. A good offense make a defense look good by limiting the touches the opponents offense gets.

Everytime I watched Tennessee this year I was watching their defense play.

Chavis would be awesome. Better than Bo Pellini (IMHO)

He stayed at UT because it was his alma mater. I'd say he jump at a good HC opportunity now, might even campaign like some Coordinators do.
