i would quietly see if i could get harbaugh. if not, i would give rich rod another year.
Why give him another year? well, he's recrutied for 3 years his players for offense. he has improved year by year. and if i can't get harbaugh, it's a crapshoot for finding another coach who would be a popular hire.
coach miles? as your second choice? what if that backfires and now it's late. who you gonna get?
rich rod was always a bad hire for michigan just because it was a bad fit. now they are paying for it. what an excruciating decision.

Michigan really has no option but to make a change.

While I do agree that Michigan has made "Some" progress, The offense has not been impressive against any team this year that had a decent defense (i.e. OSU,Iowa,Mich St.,Wisconsin) sure the O steamrolled Indiana,Purdue,UMass, and a few other cupcakes but never really showed up against tougher opponents. The Defense was terrible and got worse throughout the year, Change has to come sooner rather than later.

i really believe that any coach should be given his four years.

The thing that scares me about the "4 year" idea is that R. Rod seems to have lost this team. They don't believe in the guy.

i know, but he has improved every year so far. seems like they could give him one more to see what HIS senior class can do.

We can certainly agree they are young and are improving on O.

Michigan sucks and they are not that good on offense either.
They gotta get rid of Rich Rod.

I think he has had plenty of time.

too bad he hasn't recruited for defense.

Brady Hoke from San Diego St.

Miles is supposedly their 3rd choice with Hoke being their 2nd.

Every team uses the 'young' excuse- Actually, Michigan has not recruited as well since Rich Rod became coach. Improving? Hard not to as shitty as they looked the prior two seasons. Their offense didn't look too impressive against the Bulldogs; it was only a matter of time before teams learned how to handle Robinson. The problem with depdending on Denard Robinson, is the number of times he went down during the year too. A running QB is one high ankle strain away from riding the pine the rest of the year. Rich Rod was not hired to 'improve' the team; he has not shown the ability to take this team to a higher level, do you really think another year is going to make all that much of a difference? And, the team did not improve during the year, they actually took a nose dive; the Miss. St shellacking was the icing on the cake. After that wipeout to a mid-pack SEC team, how do you justify to Mich. fans to keep RR another year??

I don't think that 4 year rule should always apply. Every situation is different. I don't think RR was ever a fit for the Michigan job. It was a mistake to hire him. I think the Michigan people realize he was not a fit now. The question is what do you do now? You have a good coach but he does not fit your program at all. Why keep him?

I don't think they even have a gameplan if they miss out on Jim or Big Les. Da Michigan brass is confident.
