Moving on to another topic I'd like to discuss today...

Assuming the rumors to be true that he didn't want the job last year, what has changed this year? If he gets the job, I'm concerned O's convinced him to take the job (like Pete Jenkins) but his motivation is not what you'd want your coordinator to have. I want a guy who is driven to succeed not someone who has been convinced to take the job and probably has had some allowances made so that he doesn't have to be ALL IN, ALL THE TIME.

Up vote away!

Jimmy, if E is hired, then perhaps O was reluctant to bring in an outsider for fear of not being able to meddle...that is possible. Or outsider candidates see the job as being unstable given Canada’s abrupt departure.

People change there minds all the time. I pray Ensminger hasn't changed his. He is not qualified to be a play caller. His history as O.C. proves this. The best O.C.s have a special knack for calling the right plays at the right time. This Ensminger SCARE needs to end!

Hiring E is like hiring O last year. It was the safe, easy hire. While E has OC experience, he wouldn’t be a candidate if he was TE coach at another school

Word gets out in the coaching community just as any other and O is seen as a weak HC not for long at LSU.

JIMMIE, dummy!

You forgot leave an upvote. And please change my settings so that I can upvote myself more than once like you and Circus Child do to your posts all the time. I'm bringing great, thought provoking material to the board today. And, finally, I still need you to give me my Christmas bonus you have yet to send.

Jimmy, by your own admission, you were made admin just to have access to the deleted nudie posts. You are otherwise worthless as an admin, and definitely not worthy of a bonus, unless a bonus includes a kick in the nuts.

I haven't seen nudes on this board in a while. You must be hiding them on some special server. I want a bonus like the others who are worthless. If for nothing else, because I'm posting good stuff.

Alleva is probably willing to pay E like a top flight OC. If this contract is worth $1 million or more Alleva should be fired on the spot for mismanagement of funds.

Hiring O was a major gamble that may or may not work out. But we were sold on having the best coordinators in the nation. Steve E would not fit the bill.

I guess O is abandoning his original idea of bringing in the best offensive coordinator in the country after one year on the job.

Can he stick to any philosophy as a HC?

Ed Orgeron wants to get best offensive coordinator in football

Guys and gals, here is the move: first of all, I keep referring to "the LSU decision makers"(The Search's boss) bc I don't know specifically who that is. Is it FKing? And/or, the BoS? Anyway, whoever that is, he/she/they should absolutely REFUSE to fund Canada's buyout. Reason: it's fricking ridiculous! The guy did a good job under the circumstances. (I didn't say "great," but certainly did nothing to warrant firing.)

It is fiscally irresponsible to pay yet another coach not to coach. Wasn't this the reason given for retaining Miles in 2015? In an austere higher ed funding climate, paying Miles' buyout and paying Jimbo a shitload couldn't be justified?

So how, now, is firing the OC you hired a year ago and paying millions to buy him out justified? Bc he and Ed "can't get along?!" Are you fricking kidding me?

No buyout for Canada. He has a contract, hold him to it. O doesn't like it, there's the door. Promote Aranda to HC.
