This guy may have been a failed HC, who cares he has legit fielded frequent top 10 defenses, and has won 2 NC’s as a defensive coordinator. He can recruit but most importantly he’s had RECENT success calling plays.

Offer 1.5-2 mill (because of the violations) and build back the dominant LSU defense. Makes sense to me, but I welcome the down votes (with reason of course)

Edit: at least give him an analyst spot

I don't think the SEC would allow that with him being under investigation for violations.

Key word “internal” wasn’t through the NCAA if I’m correct

May be a bad look to hire as DC right now, after those findings came out. But may be a smart addition as an analyst, or other support role for this year.

He’s a top notch DC, but he’s radioactive as far as LSU is concerned. We need to put our own investigation to bed. Hiring him wouldn’t help with that.

Honestly, Bama should be wary of making Pruitt anything but an analyst. He could face a show cause if UT’s coming NCAA investigation goes the wrong way. And you can imagine that the SEC will discourage other programs from looking at him until things are settled. Just look at how they’ve been with Freeze and now Bo Davis.

He can't come coach our defense. He has NCAA looming over his head what makes you think it's okay for him to coach here?

Pruitt won't be coaching for anyone if it's true the NCAA got him on multiple level 1 violations.

You would be correct, but it's not the NCAA that would be preventing him coaching or being on a staff at the moment. It would be the SEC.

Two things:
1. Clearly an “investigation” at another school won’t interfere with the current LSU investigation. They don’t cancel each other out or make LSU’s more intense.

2. The Tenner investigation was mostly internal and happened because they were looking to fire Pruitt AND NOT PAY HIS BUYOUT. Lastly the “SEC” or “NCAA” is not going to tell Pruitt he can’t coach in the SEC...

Which one is it? He’s getting hired by Bama so don’t worry about it or he can’t coach again? All I’m saying is he’s an elite defensive mind and is a hella better DC than Neilson plus he has the track record to prove it.

Pruitt wants to coach at Bama. His dream job is headcoach of Bama. He wont be coming to LSU

Hugh Freeze was “banned” because he had sanctions placed on Ole Miss plus bowl bans. Pruitt was fired because he was a shite coach and recruiting violations (ie talking to players when they aren’t supposed to) was used to fire him. DEFINITELY not the same

Agree he's a proven DC and recruiter. Would be a home run hire

Instead we get to watch Bama hire him back

bullshite. If we hired him, the NCAA would absolutely take notice and would be more apt to either not take our self-inflicted punishments as enough, or would keep digging for other potential violations. They would see it as spitting in their face.

If he is allowed in the SEC, he will be at the Saban Coaches Rehab Facility in Tuscaloosa.

I just talked to a family member who is a UT super fan and is on all their boards. They are going to be hit with MULTIPLE level one violations. This isn’t up for debate- it’s fact. Their investigation wasn’t just a smokescreen to fire Pruitt without a buyout, as first thought. They are about to get hammered and Pruitt will be radioactive for a while.

Evidently that smoke about UGA also being in this mix wasn’t fake, either.
