I tried telling y’all LR wasn’t going to come here

Whenever there’s a lot of chatter and talk about a candidate, it’s usually a sign that he’s not going to that particular school, and it’s smoke. Well it was smoke for USC. I think it’s been Dave Aranda this entire time. The outcome of the Bedlam Game really did have an affect on the LSU hire. Had OU won, Baylor wouldn’t be in the Big 12 championship, and Arandas season would basically be over. His hire would be getting announced today. They’re still in the playoff hunt if chaos unfolds this weekend. Also anytime the Aranda rumors come out, they seem to get shot down pretty quickly, which is a sign that some higher powers are trying to take the pressure off their candidate. I think Brian Kelly could possibly be in play too. Nobody has talked about him.

Nobody thought it was going to be Jay Johnson being hired as the baseball coach. There was always lots of talk about Vitello and other hot names. Jay Johnson just kind of flew under the radar.
